Arthur Burgess died of pneumonia, possibly as a result of complications from catching influenza in the world-wide epidemic of 1918. He was the son of Mrs M Burgess, 58 Osborne Road, Cale Green.

The National Archives holds on-line records of every soldier who served abroad during the War and who are, therefore, entitled to service medals. No trace has been found of Arthur amongst the records.
