Albert CLARKE
Rank:

Unit: ROYAL GARRISON ARTILLERY
Date of Death:

Albert Clarke’s name is inscribed on the Bredbury War Memorial, noting that he served with the Royal Garrison Artillery. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission records the names of 11 men called A Clarke (or Clark) serving with the RGA. None have any obvious local connection.

One of them, Gunner Albert Clarke, who died on 10 July 1917, had family connections with the Hyde area but it is impossible to say if this is the man also connected with Bredbury.
